First Trout of 2009 (in Arizona though)

Added a vacation day to my trip last week to the Bamboo Project workshop in AZ. As usual, this post is not in order or in a particular time based sense, but I got around to it today.
Arrived in Page AZ a little after mid day Friday. Looking out across the tarmac at some real geography.



Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore.



Yes, I did catch a trout.

    Great pics. Looks like you flashed the landscape in the "not in Kansas" pic. Do you really carry a flash that can illuminate a bluff? Or am I not understanding what is going on in htht pic?

    Nice fish. Nice start to the year. In honor of the inauguration, I humbly offer a suggestion for a caption:

    "My name is Obamandias, King of Kings..."

    Nevermind. I think I need to retain that for a blog post.

    Well, you need to look closer. It is not a bluff, but an enormous rock perched on a very tiny bit of soil that has been eroded by the wind, in front of a bluff.

    But to answer your question :
    "Do you really carry a flach (sic) that can light up a bluff?"

    the answer is... doesn't everybody ?
